A Nigerian lady has shared how a stranger returned her phone after she lost it while heading to church in Lagos.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she expressed her surprise at the man’s honesty, revealing that she had just alighted from a car when she realised her phone was missing.
According to her, she immediately called her number, only for a man who found the phone to answer and ask her to come to his location to collect it.
“I just lost my phone, I was going to church and when I got down from the car, I started looking for my phone. It was like a movie, and I started calling the number, and this guy picked it up and said I should come and meet him where he is,” she recounted.
The lady, who praised the man’s kindness, disclosed that he had also lost his phone the previous week, but the person who found it never returned it.
Despite not having a phone of his own, the man still chose to return hers, leaving her impressed by his actions.
“This guy also lost his phone last week, and the person that picked it up didn’t return it. He doesn’t even have a phone and yet he returned my phone back to me. He’s kind. I’m so surprised that we still have nice, good people in our country,” she added.
The experience, she noted, taught her not to repay evil with evil, as the man could have chosen to keep her phone because someone had previously kept his.
She also appreciated the man, describing him as a kind person and praising people from Kogi State.
