Teacher shares hilarious story of JSS 2 boy who paid okada rider ₦1,000 to pose as his father

A Nigerian teacher has shared a hilarious experience involving a Junior Secondary School 2 (JSS 2) student who allegedly paid an okada rider ₦1,000 to impersonate his father after he was caught skipping classes.

The teacher, identified as @AdageorgeA on X, recounted how she instructed the student to bring his father to school the following day before he would be allowed back into her class.

According to her account, the boy confidently agreed and showed up the next morning with a man dressed in an oversized suit, who pretended to be his father.

The man reportedly apologised for the student’s behaviour and promised to discipline him at home. However, the teacher soon realised that the supposed father was actually the okada rider who transported her to school every morning.

She wrote:

“Teaching in a Nigerian secondary school is an extreme sport. 😭 I caught one JSS 2 boy skipping classes and told him he must bring his father to school the next day before he can enter my class. This small boy looked me dead in the eye and said, ‘No problem, Ma.’

“The next morning, he marched into the staff room with a very serious man wearing an oversized suit. The man started acting like a strict father, apologising deeply for his ‘son’s’ behaviour and promising to discipline him at home. I was nodding along until I looked at the man’s face properly.

“My people, the ‘father’ was the exact same okada man that drops me at the school gate every morning! 💀 This boy had paid my bike man ₦1,000 to wear a suit and pretend to be his dad. When the bike man finally recognised me, he just shouted ‘Aunty Teacher!’ and ran away! 😭😭”

The account has sparked amusement over the student’s creativity and the unexpected role played by the motorcycle rider. The story, however, remains based on the teacher’s account on social media.
